Highway on My Plate

These two guys shown in the picture are creating new brand of Indian culinary which is called "DHABA" also known as roadside eatries.

Dhaba's were originated in Punjab which was mainly started for the Truck drivers who travel long distances away from their homes but slowly it spread all over India.

I really feel jealous and thankful at the same time to Rocky (with specs) and Mayur.

Jealus because both of them get lots of different, delicious, variety of food to eat and thankful coz, its because of them we get to see the real Indian cusine.

I am a big time foodie and love to explore different cusines and also some traditional dishes at the places which has some legacy behind them. This is one of the main reason I love this show and I never miss it. (You can watch it at 8:00 PM on ndtvgoodtimes)

There were similar kind of shows in the past too but the USP of HOMP is it mainly covers the highway eateries, most of the time which go unnoticed due to its locations. 

If you really want to taste real Indian cusine, I strongly recommend you follow Rocky and Mayur, make a note of the places which they recommend and do visit these eatries whenever you are in that part of world.

Rocky is a non vegetarian with a fondness of sea food while Mayur is vegatarian with a very god taste and trust me guys they will never disappoint you. If you are a foodie then you can not afford to miss this show. I wish I could have anchored a show like this. (Dreams are free of cost :))

Recently HOMP started from the mountains of Kashmir and travelled all the way from Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujrat, MP and then down south Medikari and ended their journey in the back waters of Kerala.

The next destination is Far east where they are going to dig in some eastern delicasies and a mouth watering feeling for us. There is a saying if you want to know the culture of a city, start with its cusine so if you want to increase your knowldege about eastern states and its people, its food, dont miss the journey.
